Police Radar Detecters?

Has anybody heard of these devices? Are they banned in Illinois? If not, How much do they cost? What is the best one? Where can I get them?

Radar Detectors are legal in Illinois. They are very common and can even be bought at Walmart – the more expensive ones being about 100 dollars. You can get high tech radar detectors online as well.

I don’t condone them. When I bought my first car at 17 I had one and I got 5 tickets in 8 months. Why? Because it’s a false sense of security. Once the radar detectors goes off to let you know there’s a cop nearby, chances are, you’re already caught. Not really worth it to invest in. Just follow the speed limit.
