Laser And Radar Jammers
Are Laser Jammers legal in the state of Missouri?
I know Radar and Laser detectors are legal but what about Laser Jammers? Are they any legal?
Generally? Sir, do you remember me typing in the “State of Missouri”?
Radar jammers are illegal due to FCC regulations. The FCC regulates radar and radar frequencies.
Laser is a different matter. Lasers are regulated by the FDA; basically they don’t care what the motoring public does.
Lasers have medical uses for RK (Lasik, etc) and sample identification (Laser barcode readers, etc).
Unless the state you’re in has a specific laser jammer regulation, there are no Federal regs on this point (at this time – subject to change at any moment).
According to the Guys of Lidar website, laser jammers are legal in Missouri.
Now, if you jam a police laser and the police get a jam signal from their unit, they can cite you for obstructing a police officer.
You pays your money, you takes your chances.
