How To Choose A Radar Detector
How many freedoms have we lost in the past 40 years?
And how many freedoms have we gained?
Since I was a kid in the 60’s we have lost the right to choose a seatbelt, the right to sit in the back of a pickup or put my dog there, the right to choose a carseat or not, the right to smoke in a car, in a park or in my apt. Or a bar, I lost the right to choose a helmet on a motorcycle, bicycle, skateboard or skates, I cannot hire the best man for the job unless he is a certain color, I cannot talk on a cellphone in a car or use radar detectors and riding in the trunk is illegal? Remember drive ins?
What other rights we have lost that our Parents and Grandparents took for granted?
These things are not big deals-or so they say. The problem is that the ones taking them are hypocrites. The general excuse is that they claim they want to save your life. The claim is suspect because firstly, they do not even know who you are and secondly, their so-called solutions to our bad behaviors is always to take money from us and give it to them. In most cases it is the poor that lose money for food, car to get to work and medical care in place of “being taught a lesson”.
If the government and control freaks really wanted to end what they think are bad behaviors, they would opt for actual effective means like putting people in jail or suspending licenses when they do things wrong. Of course there is no income in that.
But the biggest crime of all is the dumbing down of the people. You see what has happened to people is that they have been slowly conditioned to not think for themselves. Can’t you see it? People have become robots-expecting the government to tell them everything that is bad or good now. And of course the government could never micromanage each life. So people eat til they are fat, play lottery til bankrupt (the government does not seem to care that mostly the poor play it and even advertises to encourage them to gamble) and do a host of self damaging things that the government still approves of with no discretion. The mindset is this: If the government did not outlaw it, it must be good. People have little or no ability to judge for themselves as they have been conditioned not to and those that *do* have a mind are constantly being put in their places and get in trouble until they are pushed out of society leaving nothing but sheeple to breed.
